Entrance Criteria

Ms. Wheelchair District of Columbia showcases some of the most extraordinary women with disabilities from the District of Columbia. The program brings together women with diverse backgrounds.

Contestants must meet the following criteria:

Be a resident of the District of Columbia between the ages of 21 to 60

Must utilize a wheelchair for 100% of their daily community mobility.

Marital status is not a consideration.

Young women between 14 and 20 years old meeting the same criteria may compete for the Junior Mis Wheelchair DC.

Entrance Fee

The $200.00 entrance fee covers meals, informational seminars, photographs, transportation and other social activities. We ask that you do NOT pay this money yourself. Instead, choose a person, group, or organization to sponsor you.

One of Ms. Wheelchair District of Columbia's responsibilities is to network with others, promote the program, and raise funds. Raising your own entrance fee in this manner will be excellent practice.

Neither the Ms. Wheelchair District of Columbia organization, nor any individual therein may be your sponsor.

Please call the office at (202) 563-4212 if you need assistance with securing a sponsor.
